We will be operating in the Old Bridge, Red Bank, Marlboro and surrounding areas. Starting in 2026, we will be operating out of Oceanport too!

OPEN POSITIONS

ADVENTURE GUIDE

You must be 18 or older for this position.  


Adventure Guides will interact with our children throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and care for their general wellbeing. The role of an Adventure Guide is to participate, build relationships, and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child. Individuals must be engaging, patient, creative, and enjoy working with children in both outdoor and indoor settings. As an Adventure Guide, you will be an active participant in all activities and will assist your Adventure Coordinator and the Director with a variety of daily tasks.

Adventure Guide Qualities:

  • Ability to help children grow in character, experiences, and insights
  • Ability to always guard the health and well-being of the children
  • Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certified OR willing to become certified before the program begins
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Adventure Guide Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of up to six children.
  • Cooperate with fellow Adventure Guides, the Coordinators and the Director
  • Greet families and children upon arrival
  • Support the Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with the children
  • Participate in all activities
  • Help where needed and lead activities when asked to by the Coordinator or Director
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

The Adventure Coordinator may be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time. They may also be required to lift and carry children or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.  






ADVENTURE COORDINATOR

 You must be 21 or older for this position. 


As the Adventure Coordinator you are responsible for the well-being of the children and the supervision of the Adventure Guides in their respective tasks assigned. 

Adventure Coordinator Qualities:

  • Able to speak to parents in a calm and convincing tone.
  • Able to manage children and deescalate any behavioral issues
  • Be a leader to your Adventure Guides and help to manage their schedules
  • Able to handle basic first aid emergencies
  • Have a positive and flexible attitude to encourage their group of Adventure Guided and children to have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Adventure Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • The Adventure Coordinator is the point of contact for the children and the Adventure Guides addressing any issues that arise 
  • They are responsible for keeping the Director informed of incidents during the day.
  • They may be the point of contact for the parents at the Director’s orchestration.
  • Supervise the groups during the entire EPIC DAY.
  • Address any emergency as it arises
  • Assist with the process of the scheduled activities, being the first one to get to the destination to get the check in advance.
  • Manage any medical or behavioral needs of the children.
  • Attend to and rotate between all groups.
  • Be prepared to assist or take over for any Adventure Guide if needed.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for confirming the attendance with their assigned Guides.
  • The Coordinator must return to the meeting location to receive and report to the Base Camp and Director before leaving for the day.






BASE CAMP MONITORS

 You must be 18 or older for this position. 


 The Base Camp is responsible to be the first at the meeting location to receive the children participating in the program. They will be a team determined by the number of children registered and how many enrolled in Before & After Care for the day.

Base Camp Monitor Qualities:

  • Friendly and willing to talk to parents and children; as they are the first face the caretakers will see upon drop off and pickup.
  • Organized and capable of handling a line of parents and children for registration.
  • Responsible 
  • They must be creative, energetic, and imaginative; as they will have to entertain those children enrolled in the Before & After Care programs.

Base Camp Responsibilities:

  • All Base Camp Monitors will be at the meeting location from 7:00 AM for Before Care until 9:00 AM when the group is out for the adventure of the day.
  • Return to the meeting location at 4:00 PM to receive the group back from the trip. 
  • Base Camp monitors will scan the coded bracelet of every child for accountability of attendance.
  • Base Camp Monitors will explain or answer any authorized procedural questions, and be able to contact a Coordinator if they are not sure of an answer to a question.
